The XM is not growing on me…even in black. I’m much more of an i4 / X5M design language fan. This is way to much “bling” for an old school BMW fan. The next generation may love this and that’s ok by me…just keep one or two classic designs in the lineup.

The XM looks really sharp in Carbon Black. (I think it's Carbon Black)

It even has the classic gear selector. That brings me back to 2022!

What I’m finding with these blacked out BMW’s is that BMW absolutely nailed the shell/silouette of the car, it’s the details that ruin it from me.

It’s a shame because BMW improved the interior by their typical standards, but now it’s let down by the exterior. What could’ve been…

Best one I’ve seen so far. All black is definitely the way to go. Black hides many of the issues with the design and fortunately this one doesn’t have the crazy gold/bronze trim colors.

Small details, I know I’m nitpicking here but they put the XM badge is such an odd location on the tailgate and they should just black out the exhaust trim/tips to complete the entire look.

Overall, I think black is by far the best color and this particular example is the best one I’ve seen to date.

Love everything about the car BUT the new headlight design. Not sure if I'm the only one but I can't stand the split DRL from the main headlight. I feel they took a step back in looks with that.

Going to de-badge mine when/if I get one. Carbon black with Sakhir interior would be my choice. I’m hoping I can black the fuk out of the red label edition.

this is the most sensible take I've seen.

it's funny - when I was a little kid, I wanted all the cars to look like spaceships. as I got older, I realized cars weren't going to look like spaceships, so I just developed a taste for what I could get. now that I'm older, and I can get a spaceship, I'm like, "nah - I don't want a spaceship anymore." oh well...

As a hater, I want to hate on it. But apart from the dodgy rear end, it's not as bad in this video as I had anticipated.

Minus the silly screens, don't mind the interior.

That said… Carbon Black is definitely one of the best colors available on a BMW

I love it! But those front lights really ruin it for me. I’ve seen an x7 behind me yesterday and those dual headlights are horrendous at night in my opinion, the running daylights are OKAY but not both together

You can black out anything you want if you have the right shop to do the work. Looking forward to one day seeing your XM all blacked out. I think that’s the best look for the exterior of the XM.

It definitely could be. I thought it was BSM until the 24-ish second mark where it has a bit of that blue hue to it.

I really wanted to hold out for one of these, but there’s a big difference between an iX M60 at $120,000 than an XM at nearly $200,000 fully optioned…. Totally dope though!

I really do like the front, aggressive and commanding. The rear, not so much. I think some of that may be to do with the absence of a BMW roundel in the middle. The center caps on those wheels are just horrendous though, so bland and lazy. 🤮

imo, wouldn't care if back is literally 2 buttcheeks. the performance just doesn't cut it... :/
