MP4S Tires

Fellas, rookie question here but I just picked up my G82 last week and it came with the MP4S tires. The car is garage kept and I will only be driving it occasionally during the winter , not in the snow!! Someone told me that I should replace the tires asap because they will crack, any thoughts on this ? Kinda got me worried, please advice.

Depends where you live and temperatures. The tyre websites and BMW manual say below 0 degrees tyres can degrade if used. They become too stiff and more brittle. Also in the damp/snow the grip quickly disappears due to reduced adhesion/stiffness. I always swap to winters but that’s a personal choice for a DD.

Storage as you have seems great. My summers are just stacked and covered at half pressure. Stays 10c.

if your garage is heated you are fine. Mine are in the heated garage on a rack while the winter tires are on the car.

As others said, you should be fine. If you only take it out when above 40 degrees outside you should have no issues. Snow/sleet would be very bad to get surprised by though.
