'22 840I missing wireless charger

My 2022 840I was delivered without the wireless charger due to component supply issues. The sticker listed a $250 credit.
Does anyone know if the factory charger is available or if it's even possible to add it once the car left the factory? I saw a video and it looked easy however it was on a 5 series.

BTW this is the best forum!

As someone who is on his second m850 both with wireless chargers I'm telling you they did you a favor. It doesn't charge your phone it warms your phone. Get a usb-c cord and don't think about it again. I wish I could figure out how to get rid of mine. I put my phone in upside down so it doesn't charge if I'm using it for phone storage

Concur here, the factory wireless charger is garbage and creates hot cell phone that can sizzle bacon.

Get yourself a nice aftermarket wireless charger and you'll be ahead of most of us here.

My 2022 M850 sticker showed a $250 credit for the wireless charger, too. About 4 months into ownership, while on a long drive, my wife slammed her phone into the charger. I said it didn't work. Why? They didn't put it in. An hour later her phone was charged. Hmmmm. I had been using the USB port in the center console, which works fairly fast.

The times that I have used the wireless charger it has worked fine. Downside is the heat issue. Not hot, but warm. But, in a worse case scenario, you could actually charge 3 phones at once if you had to.

The go to solution is a fast charger 12v socket in the arm rest compartment with two cables and just keep the center console closed for that clean look.

My dealer said that the secret to have a "useable" wireless charger in the BMWs is to use a Qi-compatible case that is not too thick. This way things get warm but not hot, and the phone charges without too much of a hassle.
