Mine seems to run 250 - 260 in the middle of winter (20 degrees outside). I was thinking that seems to be a little warm. 2007 335i

It's fine. I'm assuming you have an early production 335i with no oil cooler. 250-260 is still a within operable range temperature.

I think I have one of the first 335i's to roll out. In the summer I CAN hit 260-265 driving it real hard. But most of the time its around 230-240.

I have heard about the oil cooler and haven't gotten to look into which ones had and which didnt have them. Is this something that can be added on after the fact easily? Fairly expensive/worth it?

If you really want one under "good will" from BMWNA you are probably going to have to contact BMWNA and go through a lengthy process to get permission to have one installed under warranty. I'm pretty sure you don't have one. Look under the passenger front wheel well. You will know if you have it if there is a cutout in the wheel well.

They didn't. You had to ask for one. And it wasn't guaranteed.

Wrong. Plenty of people on these boards (with ZSP) including myself don't have an oil cooler. There have been NUMEROUS threads on this issue. OP I suggest you search.

The weather's been around a steady 30F and lower around my area. In normal driving, the oil temperature has been around 210-220. Aggressive driving I saw around 240.

During the summer, my temps read around 10 above what I have now; so normal would be 230-240, and aggressive driving I haven't really seen it go above 250/255. Yes, I do have the oil cooler.

I have an 09 automatic with an oil cooler. 240 max under heavy driving.

I think it used to be that you needed ZSP and 18" wheels to get the oil cooler standard. Don't know if it changed for 09 since I have 18's and ZSP

You mean like the one that's stickied to the top of the N54 forum: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55547?

Show me a post from someone who has both a manual transmission AND the sport package of any build date claming to be missing the oil cooler and I'll show you someone who doesn't know where to look or what an oil cooler looks like.

My 2009 E90 335i with 6MT sans oil cooler reaches 240°F in normal driving. At one time at 250° the dashboard started complaining that the engine was overheating. It turned out the radiator fan and the oil condition sensor were both faulty.
