The first electrified high-performance automobile from BMW M GmbH fascinates with its extrovert appearance as much as with its innovative, 480 kW/653 hp M HYBRID drive. Additional options for expressing both the unmistakable character of the BMW XM and the personal style of its owner are opened up by the special paintwork from BMW Individual, which can be ordered from April 2023.

At the US BMW Group plant in Spartanburg, flexibility in the painting process is now being increased even further. This means that BMW Individual special paint finishes will also be available for the plug-in hybrid model in the future. The new body colors, including the variants BMW Individual Urban Green, BMW Individual Petrol Mica metallic, BMW Individual Anglesey Green metallic and BMW Individual Sepia metallic, enhance the extravagant charisma of the BMW XM with a particularly individual touch.

The BMW Individual special paint finishes, which are as exclusive as they are expressive, emphasize the design language for the exterior of the BMW XM, which is characterized by generous surfaces, dynamically flowing lines and sharp edges. All BMW Individual special paint finishes are applied in a separate manufacturing process with an increased proportion of manual work. A particularly precise surface treatment and a careful finish ensure that they are characterized by impressive color depth and maximum brilliance.

As far as the new BMW designs go, the XM is not bad. The only two things that look out of placed is the belt line dropping an inch below the window or shoulder of the car and the comically thin tail lights on the rear. The rest of it looks like it designed with some thought - can't say that about most of BMW's designs.

New colors are always welcome. I hope BMW will offer these colors on other models where the sales potential is much higher.

Moving in the right direction by ditching the ugly gold trim.

We are almost there for that coveted cash-paying drug-dealer client who arrives in a G-class to buy this "f...k off" truck.

I never imagined there would be a more vulgar car than the G-class AMG version with low profile tyres that rocks up and down every time it accelerates, but now can confidently say this is the car that really has Merc offering beat.

G-class will be cool again perhaps, and if that happens this XM car has been totally worth it.

Jokes aside, i kinda like the profile view of the dark blue car, just the front is again the problem like on most BMWs today.

Wondering if there will be a badging option for BMW roundel on the tailgate, besides the standard de-badging option (for out of place X///M badge - at least for my taste).

Petrol Mica & Sepia working well with the new design language. How about classic Macao Blue, though?

Sell some shitty looking car and "offer to help" buyers fix it by asking them to spend even more $$$$ on custom paint to hide all the ugliness.

Sad part is people are actually falling for this.

Individual colors and options were made to chose another color / leather / stitches options to look individual, not to correct existing ugly bad designs

The design itself is very subjective, but the overall design of the wheel is clearly more focused on cheating the wind 🌬️
