What tyre profile can I have on 405M 20" Alloys
Hi, I've got 20" alloys on my 435d (link below) and 35 (front) and 30 (rear) profile run flats.
I'm about to buy new tyres all round, planning on ditching the run flats and wanted to ask if I could go up a profile without the tyres rubbing? and also to fill the arches a little (see photos attached)? And in general what are people's thoughts on doing this? Cheers https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bm...05m_wheel_3138 |

OEM
225/35/20(26.2") 255/30/20(26.0") up a profile, raises total vehicle height 0.5"(13mm) 225/40/20(27.1") may touch spring perch and/or rub while turning full-lock, from being too tall(rub example pic below) 255/35/20(27.0") taller gearing (at pavement) will affect tip-in throttle max fitment 245/35/20(26.8") front 255/35/20(27.0") rear here is 245/35/20 at ET35 square on an F31 shows proximity to spring perch and taller fitment https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=849595 for no issues and best rim width to tire width fitment, my recommendation is 235/35/20(26.5") front 245/35/20(26.8") rear my personal philosophy is lower the vehicle to reduce wheel gap OR combination of lower mildly and increase tire size slightly. . PS4S' naturally have a square sidewall compared to those P-Zeros, those have a stretched look even when oversized.
