Driving Assistance Pro Pkg on BQE/FDR/95/etc?

Hi all, not sure if this post has been discussed; if so, please lmk. I am finalizing M3 build omitting DAPP. I live in SI and most of the traffic or “highways” locally are BQE, FDR, 95, etc. Does anyone have experience operating the DAPP system in traffic on those roads? I can’t imagine the radar/camera would respond well to the random piece of plywood on the road, insane drivers, massive potholes, unpainted lane marketings, etc. if you live here you know what I’m talking about. Please let me know any feedback good or bad. Thanks!

I do that drive weekly (SI to Queens via BQE to 95), and this is what I see:

1. Lane departure, blind spot, emergency stop are all fine
2. Side impact will randomly pop up and jerk the wheel in the same spots (I think the left lane wall juts out oddly)
3. Extended traffic jam is fine to fool around with, but basically useless as it just allows everyone to cut in front of you during the 3 seconds it takes to speed back up

Hope that helps

Thank you! Point 3 especially helpful as I can’t imagine making much progress letting the car drive versus everybody else. Glad you are getting some utility on point 1.

I'm glad someone asked this question, your answers confirmed my decision on opting out. LIE is just as bad.
