09 335i rough idle!!
ok so i bought a brand new 09 335i about a month ago and i have about 600 miles on it. This morning i was in full stop on the red light and the idle was really rough and sounded like miss-fire. I can feel it like a whole car was shacking and the idle gauge was jumping from 850-1100. Anyone experienced ot would like to share??? My car is bone stock!!

Had it once like when I still had 150 miles on it. Car shaking bad but after turning it off went back to normal. Have 1300 miles now and didn't happen again. Got the car last month too. Dec. 4 to be exact.

that used to happen to me too. while stopped at the light the car would begin shaking and the rpm would go up and down a few hundred. it eventually stopped by itself after a few weeks and i havnt had this problem again.

Wow, either US gas has way too much ethanol it it or BMW/Bosch/whoever sucks at designing fuel pumps.
They should know by now the quality of US gas and compensate for it with a new pump design and do a full recall for the older pumps (similar to the lag-fix recall where BMW fesses up). Direct injection is used in many cars now and as far as I know, no 335 level epidemic exists with pumps. |

If I were you, I wouldn't jump to any conclusions... I have an '09 also, and when it was like 300 miles old, some wierd shit popped up on the idrive screen. Some malfunction warning... I tripped out at first, but it's never happened again. The moral of the story is unless it happens again I wouldn't get too woried
