Rough Shifts with Xi/Xdrive?
Ive noticed that when i drive my car quickly, the 1-2 shift is very very rough when i shift quickly. It's not my driving either, because i got in a 335i coupe and my shifts were perfect chirps. I understand that because of xdrive the car cant really chirp between shifts, but i just dont think the shifts should be as rough as they are. anyone have the same issue?

Not sure cuz I have a Step, but the general remedy on the forum for any shifting problem is a modified/removed CDV (clutch delay valve)

I've got the same issue. I'm going to bring it up at my first service. It's worse when the car is cold. On the odd day it will shift perfectly.
Check out this thread in the XI section. A lot of other people have the issue. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189264 Quote:
