So the 2024 X5 configurator is live on the BMW website now. When selecting the Driving Assistance Professional Package, it says this feature is disabled after 8 years and no mention of the ability to continue to pay for it.

Does anyone have any background on if the feature truly just ends after 8 years?

TLDR: Contract with map provider expires in 8 years. Probably legalese and nothing to worry about.
