Long term parking

So i am in the military and i'll be going away for about a year. So basically the car will be sitting in the garage. What needs to be done? Should i unplug the battery? drain the oil? pour some fuel stabilizer? or nothing?

Do everything you'll read about in other threads for storing your car (cover, fuel stabilizer, trickle charger, plug exhaust).

Then put some mice traps around the garage: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173082

Change oil and filter, give it a good clean up inside and out, wax the body, lubricate all the rubber door and window seals, put AmorAll on all interior plastic and vinyl surfacess, put conditioner on leather, put gas stablizer in the tank and fill it up wth gas, run the engine for a few minutes to make sure the stablizer goes all the way to the engine, store the car indoors in a rodent-free location (or have a pest control company visit the place once a month), connect the battery to a trickle charger, put the car up on blocks and support the suspension in a such way that the springs are halfway compressed, take the wheels off and store them flat, cover the car with a good quality breathable car cover......
