there are bunch of heavily moded 335 with jb3 or v3, catless dp, FMIC ...etc
rarely heard of turbo failure. But there are still chances
i currently have 14000miles , and i think my HPFP is on its way out....

If you are so worried then just roll with map 1 on a daily basis. Get the map switcher when you need to switch on a fly to get into map 6,7 or 8. Be aware though that map 6 is for 93 octane, 7 and 8 for 97+ octane.

The rattling noise doesn't cause any damage or indicate any turbo failure... you're good to go, man.

Mike
OP has indicated that his wastegates rattle LESS when JB is out of car.
therefore think of yourself as lucky and get your wastegates fixed while still under warranty.

i might wait a few weeks though to be sure that your dealer has the new 32.1 lagfix.
this way, after possible new wstegates, IF bmw has to update you, you will have the best software available (other than the original 27.x).

People are doing it. Most of them don't have any issues. BMS recommends 93 octane though. It is up to you.

When I use map 6 on 91 octane, I try to listen for knocks (haven't heard any). Most of the time though, I only switch to map 6 after I mix 100 octane w/ 91 octane.
