Hello, Can anyone happen to provide me with the wiring diagrams for the mirrors for a G20/21 with and without folding mirrors please? I want to retrofit power folding mirrors on my G21. Thanks

Hi, very happy with the diagrams. Is it possible to give me a screenshot of the X1432 1V, X1773 1B and what means NOT BEV or BEV please? Thanks.[/QUOTE]

Attached are pics of X1432/X1773 locations and X1773 connector. I could not find the X1432 connector so I have attached location/connector for X5*1B

BEV likely means "Battery EV".

Thank you very much, X1432 is likely not a connector, the thing i don't understand in the wiring diagram are these black arrows to X1432 and in the power line to the right mirror. Are these interuptions of the lines? I also can't find on which pin of the X5*1B and the other doorconnector i must accord the new power line for the right mirror. Grtz, Frank

The arrow-to-the-right means that the wire is also connected elsewhere. See attached schematics below for the wires you referenced.

Regarding your 2nd question on power pin on X5*1B, you can use the wire colour code (red-with-grey stripe) to determine which X5*1B is used for power. Also from the 2nd schematic attached below, pin 17 on X5*1B is used for the powerline.

Thanks. I now have a fuse on F68, even though I don't have power folding mirrors that would mean that also pin 17 could already be connected from the fusebox to the door? And then I just have to repin cable 6 coming from the mirror corresponding to 17 X5*1B? same with cable 5 of the mirror repin on the X5*1B from 5 to 16?
or in what way is the power supply for the door lights and so on in my car now without the power folding option?

Regarding 12V supply to the mirror, refer to the last wiring schematic I attached in my last post for details of the other door components this 12V supply (pin 17 X5*1B) is connected. Take the door card off and look for the red-wth-grey stripe wiring and tap into this wire for supply to your mirror pin 6.

Regarding pin 16 X5*1B (K_LIN_1 wire), yes, connect this wire to mirror pin 5. Note, I took a look at the wiring schematics for the "wo folding mirror" (also attached in my first post in this thread) and it would appear the mirrors without folding function does not use the K_LIN_1 wire so this wire may not be connected to the X5*1B connector (and X28*1B for the driver's side mirror). If so, you will have to run K_LIN_1 from the BDC through the X5*1B/X28*1B connectors into the doors.

Please note:

1) Since you will be adding components to a LIN bus, you will need to reconfigure/add the mirrors to K_LIN_1. You will need to get a copy of ISTA+ to perform this add.
2) All of the schematics I have referenced can be found in ISTA+.

Ok, Thanks again, you are very helpfull. The LIN and 12V on the drivers side is ok, by looking at your schematics i can see that by installing a new switch on the drivers door (which is needed to make everything working) the pins get a different function on the drivers side and will make it work. So only the passengers side needs to be reconnected, or i can the wires that are now provided to make the right non-folding mirror work merge on the driver's side, as they are now connected to the switch on the driver's side according to the schematic. i also have to VO code the "430" option in my car. Grtz.

Is it possible to see what is connected to fuse 68 in a car without folding mirrors, because I currently have a fuse at 68 and maybe it also goes to the door? Thank you.

The ISTA does not differentiate between F68 wiring w and wo folding mirrors. From the F68 reference I included (last wiring schematic), you will have to determine if your vehicle is equipped with the other door components listed.

If pin 17 X5*1B is occupied with a wire (and the colour code of the wire is red-with-grey stripe), then it is safe to assume this 12V supply is used in the door to power other components.

Hello, i did the retrofit this weekend - everything went fine - left side with the new switch was plug and play, i took the 12v in the right door on the red/grey wire to pin 6 on the right mirror, i did a repin for the "ground" wire from pin 3 to pin 4 and made a LIN connection for the right side in the left front door because the BDC pin 27 wasn't connected to the X5*1B. Many thanks to Larrylam646!

I want to add some information for those who need it, I found an assignment of the fuses and relays here: https://fuseandrelay.com/bmw/3-g20-g21.html
