golf tee mod problem
Yesterday I had a feeling of doing the golf tee mod. Okay, I live in an apartment and I went down to the parking, then got under the muffler and pulled the vaccum hose out without putting a golf tee in and tucked the hose in the bumper where it wouldn't touch the muffler. So I quicky did a quick drive inside the parking lot to see the difference of the sound, and I like the deep voice between 2-3k rpm.
Then I went back upstairs and see what can I use to seal the hose instead of a golf tee. Suddenly my mom asked me to give her a ride because she was in a hurry to somewhere. So I drove my car leaving the hose without sealed for like 45min and I passed by some dusty roads and black smoke that came out of old trucks. I wonder if there would be anything wrong for my car since I didn't seal up the vaccum hose and probably the hose had sucked in so much dust and shit?

In short, there is a flap that closes on the driver side of the exhaust that quites it down a bit below 3000RPM. The "golf tee" mod is a means of "correcting" this so you get the full exhaust note all the time.

I have done my car via the connector in the trunk...I have been told you get less power from several people but I have yet to notice that as of yet. One issue, though, is that I get a overly rich smell on startup now. I never got that before. I've had the mod for maybe 1000 miles. Any insight on that perhaps?
