Anyone buy Rk intakes recently

Anyone buy an rk tune front mount intake recently?

Only asking bc the newer ones were supposedly coming out with a bracket to allow the engine cover to be used.

The old ones from Jordan’s videos didn’t come with the bracket but he says that he was working on it.

Thanks in advance

I got them done a couple weeks ago. The brackets bolt over strut brace. It holds the OEM cover in place really well. Would highly recommend sounds amazing.

Does the brackets have any kind of play on the strut brace? I saw a youtube video of this guy who had one but brackets didn't hold the cover very well and it was sliding on the strut brace badly scratching it.

So it will move up and down as the front and back arent screwed down anymore , but only if you forcefully lift it. Otherwise it just sits on top of the intake pipe. As far as scratching the strut brace , there is a fairly large rubber piece in between the bracket and strut brace to stop that from happening.

Looks great. I’m two seconds away from ordering these but the rain situation keeps holding me back. How is it in the rain ? We get a lot of rain some months including hurricanes.

You would have to really really be trying to hydrolock the engine. Like drive into a lake/ deeply flood area and fully submerging the filter. Rain isn't going to do anything.

2 foot puddles of water would be a little over the maximum recommended fording depth of 19.56 inches. I wouldn't recommend that either.
