Factory Order
I've had my 2008 335i for a little over two years now, and I love it. It's been great the entire time and has only had to go to the shop once the entire time I've had it (alternator replacement). I drive it like it's made of glass when it's cold and DIY most of the preventative maintenance.
I truly believe it is my dream car (although an M3 would be nice), it's just about to hit the 100k mileage mark soon so this is the point where I start to become wary of the reliability regardless of how great it's been so far. I've always been a fan of older cars, and hate newer vehicles for some reason - if I were to want a fresh start of my current car, is there a way to order the same exact car fresh from the factory at 0 miles? |

In a word, no. Maaaaaybe it’s possible but it would be at extortionist pricing.
Best bet would be to find a low mileage one, but yours is at a pretty low mileage for its age and you know its history well. Best to just set aside some cash for a big overhaul of will-fail parts (I’m sure you’ve replaced more than just the alternator). |

Thanks for the reply, my dream has been crushed but at least I have an answer.
Definitely gonna be setting some cash aside for any needed parts, I appreciate the advice. |
