Trying to compare with e21 (first 3-series)
It's quite obvious that 3-series coupe are a step ahead in size regarding the original 1975's 3-series. What makes me think the new 1-series coupe could actually be a successor of that car.
Does anyone have an idea of which could be the external and/or internal measures and how they could compare with the original e21 3-series?. I am very curious about that, as it seems to me that they could be quite similar in the outside but I doubt they have similar space inside neither boot capacity. Thanks anticipated |

Here are some comparisons for you !
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_E21 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bmw_1_series I think BMW sees it more as a modern day equivalent of the 2002 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_2002 |

Trying to compare (e21 series)
Thank you both, but the comparison I am interested on is the 1-series COUPE, (known before as the probable 2-series), as I don't think the coupe data are the same as the hatchback. Or am I missing something?. Anyway, the old models data links are quite useful; at least I have a reference now, thanks.
