I just got uber excited right now when RHCP when on stage @ Live Earth '07 tonight. So what do you guys have in your CD collection or like to listen to?

If that means Red Hot Chili Peppers than thats awesome. They have to be in my top 3 bands of aalll time!!!! I listen basically to everything from rock, hip-hop, alternative, soul, etc. But as much as I tried country dosent really click. There is maybe about 4 country songs that I like. But for the mostpart I think I'm pretty well-rounded.

Yes, Red Hot Chili Peppers = RHCP

Other bands I love are Incubus(love love love their music), Muse, Silver Sun Pickups, Coldplay, RAGE, etc. Haven't been listening to a lot of what's on the radio lately because my ears have been plugged in elsewhere to other stations. I've loaded up my Reggaeton playlist quite a bit: Daddy Yankee, Wisin y Yandel, Don Omar, Hector El Father, Zion, Arcangel Pa, Tito El Bambino, Notch, Luny Tunes, Yaga y Mackie, Delaghetto, Randy, and so on. Yo amor Reggaeton!!! I have to say I love listening to Wisin y Yandel more than any of the others, the combination of Wisin's intensity and Yandel's vocals is unmatched in the infant genre thus far. Gets me pumped up, if a little too pumped, especially behind the wheel. Aside from that throw in a little R&B, Indie, and Hip Hop, you've got my musical blender.

Wow, how could I forget reggaeton? Yeah the vocals are reaally good. (just grabbed my ipod..haha)

Well . . . In the CD player at the moment is the New York Ensemble for Early Music's, 'Troped Apostolic Mass for Saint Martial', the mass was written by Ademar de Chabannes in 1029. I guess I like the oldies. ; -)

Currently playing on my iPod are The Shins and LCD Soundsystem.

I'm with onehots2k; I like pretty well everything but country music and easy listening/light jazz... I can't stand solo saxaphones.

Have you visited Charlie Parker's gravesite in Lincoln Cemetary? Often there'll be a box of fried chicken and a half-pint on the slab. Need to go grab my vinyl outta the basement. (McCoy Tyner is another old favorite.)

Yup - KC public library when I was about 13. I listened to an album called Unity - pretty much bleeding edge in 1960-something - I was hooked - but I grew up listening primarily to classical music so that's stuck.

Ever been to Milton's Tap Room? (I do believe it's gone unfortunately.)
