125i or lower for Canada?

I'm just wondering...because Canada already has the 323i, would it be unrealistic to assume that BMW Canada will release a 1 Series model that slots in under the already-announced 128i and 135i? I'd still probably go for the 128i at a minimum, but would it make sense to have the 1 Series' 128i base price start higher than Canada's cheapest 3 Series?

BMW Canada has only confirmed the intro of the 128i & 135i Coupes/Cabrios to the Canadian market next year.
I think they want to create the image of a luxury sports coupe/cabrio and so will likely stick to the 128i & 135i for at least the first few years until the line has established itself.
But remember that they never introduced any of the smaller Euro Z4 engines here either, so they may not go lower than the 128i.

the reason the 323 is here in canada is to bring up the prices of the 328s and 335s
