Will the 264s fit a 128i?

I will be starting college next year, so there is no way I will be able to afford a 135i on my own, even with a full scholarship. With that said, I love the look of the 264s on the 135i. Will they fit on the 128i, though? I realize I'll have to change the tires and everything, but I was going to do that anyway. In addition, if the 264s can fit, what would be the most cost effective way to go about getting them? I seem to recall a post from a guy on here who would pay around $1000 for the four. Is this the best way?

Thanks for any and all help!

I bet they will fit fine.. I would watch the classifieds of 1er forums for peeps that are going aftermarket. Im sure there is going to be plenty of stocker rims to go around.

you're a smart guy with a full scholarship....you have 1 up on so many of your peers as in all probability you wont be saddled with crippling student loan debt when you graduate...unless you can get a parent to buy you that car, stick with the Mini and buy a 6 series when you graduate:wink:......I'm not trying to be sanctimonious......please dont take this as anything other than advice from someone who's lived a little....

roll Tide....

I too have asked this question. Assuming they do fit (which is probably safe), it would be far less hassle to try and build it into the car deal, if they can even do it.

Thanks, zba857 and TESLAASTRO!! UA will cover tuition and all my expenses, so I won't have any student loans. My parents have offered to buy me a new car for high-school graduation, but I can't accept it because it shouldn't be their responsibility. Weird, I know. Anyway, the main reason I'm thinking about selling the MINI is that I've almost paid it off, and with the mileage/warranty factor soon coming into play, it is monetarily advantageous for me to get rid of it. It's been an awesome car, though. As for the M6, I think my right foot is too heavy for that.

And yes, Roll Tide!

I concur. Even they could, we'd pay for it...big time.

I would consider letting mine go as soon as I replace them with an aftermarket set (late may or early june)
