To Chip or not to Chip

I an on my 5th BMW and on the later 3's I installed; Cold Air Intake, Cat-Back Stainless Steel Exhaust and Performance Chip. Does anyone have experience with the E90 and these up-grades, it seems that not many/no one carries parts for the new E90 yet? Any help would be great.

I could be wrong, but I think it's still too new.

Not much yet - stay tuned....there is a chip - don't know of anyone who has bought one yet: http://www.bhp-motorsport.de/chiptun...gfahrzeug=1762. There is also an Upsolute remap available: http://www.upsolute.ca/. I've got my eye on HorsePowerFreaks turbo kit....

Is the Upsolute chip reliable and is it worth doing now?

the ecu on the E90's have to be taken out, mosts car they just plug a laptop in and reprogram it, but the bmw are harder, so if you are sat in the car the ECU is in the left side of the car and has a blck cover over in right in the back corner, it was very easy to take out, then its in a metal case open the case and u see lots of chips on a circut board, they put a reader on one of the chips thats your ecu and read the data, all this data is the whole of the cars sytem,eg on board pc, air con, the lot, so never remove the chip, then they read the chip, and the data comes up on the laptop, then the boost the engine up to the max, most cars are detuned anyway, so why bother with a chip, every E90 can go up 30% i think on diseals and 20% petrols

If you can get 20% out of a normally aspirated petrol E90 with just a chip, I have some beachfront property in AZ for you to consider.
