HRE P40's

Anyone else like these bad boys?

Looks great on this AMG black series too. I wonder how they'd look on a 135??

They look great, I really only like nice one piece forged wheels, glad to see HRE is stepping into the performance industry.

they were always in the performance industry.. most of their wheels originated from track wheels.

Weren't HRE's recently banned by a number of HPDE organizers due to incidents of failure? I can't remember where I heard it but the point was that HRE's may look gorgeous but they can't take the heat....can anyone confirm/refute or shed light on that?

Did a quick google for "HRE banned", came up with this one along with several other references to the same....

Damn! Why'd I have to wander by this thread? Those P40's in matte black would look absolutely sick on the AW 135 I want to get. All I have to do is come up with an extra 5-6K for the wheels!!

Very nice looking wheels, but quite overrated.

Porsche Club of America has banned them for track use, so clearly HRE has some major issues.

They look hot, but I am not sure why they'd price them so high if they don't function well when pushed hard. I am running BBS wheels right now, and I know I can depend on them for whatever I need.

Anyway, the P40's might be a non-issue for the 135 seeing as they haven't made them for ANY BMW's yet...I'd still like to the chop though.

No doubt they are really hot looking.
I'm not sure if it was the one piece or the three piece wheels that were the problem. BBS' are a staple wheel IMO, and always a good choice when it comes to price too.

I've deciphered this post. Morr Alloys look like the HRE P40's...Someone just posted about the Morr's on a different thread:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...0984#post40984

The good thing is that Morr actually makes them for the E90's now.
