Question Gear selector stays in park after drink spilled

I need to remove the gear selector on a 2019 X7 to clean the spilled drink form it. Is there any information on how to remove the gear selector?

And are you trying to fit the mold of a rich a-hole? Not sure why you had to be nasty about.

I’m not rich. Our family barely makes 6 figures. Just boggles my mind how people can be well off financially and yet struggle with basics. I have blinders I guess living in CA Bay Area.
