Speeding! Driving fast!

OK, OK, here's the scoop, we have "M" cars and they are really fast, like almost and sometimes super car fast, so why would we buy an "M" car and "not" drive it fast, sometimes......

I do when conditions allow it.

So driving fast has its increased risks of course, I'm not here to encourage fast driving above the speed limit, but I think we all do from time to time, so wanted to know how you guys do it.....

Ill tell you how I do it, first of all, I never speed with other cars around, meaning if I'm on the highway and I see another car ahead 500meters or so, ill accelerate up to the car and then slow down, not to pass the other car at 200kmh plus, just because that is reckless driving, they could pull into my lane.....then what?
This discussion in not about breaking the speed limit, we are already doing it, don't need a lecture on speeding and fines, honestly at that point, if I was doing 200kmh plus per hour and a cop was at a standstill, I would not stop, why should I? he or she already clocked me at 200 so let them at least catch up to me, which from 0 to 200 plus, is pretty much impossible the chances of getting away are high if no traffic, and no cops ahead that they can call etc....

I do use Waze which had proven to be quite accurate here in Canada anyway.....

I don't weave in and out of traffic ever, I don't high beam people to move over, I do small sprints of speed alone on the highway when I deem it "safe" and not putting other peoples lives at risk other than my own.....

So wondering how you drive fast specifically?

Speeding or not, I will most certainly flash the high's a bunch when someone is taking up the left lane. I don't care if they are doing the speed limit or over, the left is for passing. Get out of the left lane!! Can you tell its a pet peeve of mine? People on the highway are morons.

In the US, especially southern states, ppl basically park in the left lanes. It’s redic annoying. There’s no “passing lane” anymore despite the signs on the highway stating “slow traffic keep right.”

On-ramps are the best IMO. Especially if you find one that has an overpass or short tunnel. Gives you some room for great acceleration, some high speed before hitting the brakes and safely merging, and the exhaust reverberating off the concrete walls

As someone who travels I35 in TX every weekend, I can attest to the fact that the right line is now the passing lane. I can literally drive for miles in the right lane passing all the vehicles camped in the left & middle lanes - while driving the speed limit or 5 above.

That said - to the OP's question, my wife has an X3MC, and I also have a supercharged Z06 (ridiculously fast). I know they're fast so I don't feel the need to drive them at faster than needed speeds on busy public roadways. I am fortunate that I have a lot of curvy country roads near me that my son & I can take the Z06 out on the weekends and sometimes not see another vehicle. Sure accelerating quickly in a straight line can be a little exciting, but curvy country roads in a ~700 hp manual sports car is where it's at, even at just a few mph above the posted limit.

ahh god bless the forum hippies (yess, I'm calling ya'll old boring ass men)... the homies are buying a 50k SUV for 100k just cause its a hot rod (ie, 90% of ya'll aren't using even close to the capacity of these cars, lowering them to the point that they're less practical than a 96 civic with neon lights, cause you know its important to feel like a poser... but then... ohhh not me, i don't do any speeding, no no... that would be wrong. Bunch a pussies.... too many softies are buying F97s, so they can tell their wives its an SUV, and then try to brag to their friends.

Hit that bitch hard and fuck the surete... your brakes are good enough if you keep your eyes wide open. You obviously didn't buy it for the extended leather package.... Just don't get caught.

If this was a Porsche forum, this wouldn't even be a conversation. Getting too old for this bimmer shit...

Don't feed the trolls. My X3 M sees redline once it's fully warmed up as often as possible. The S58 sings a glorious note in the upper RPM range & was built to be as close to bullet proof as a factory built street motor can possibly get. The X3 M is considered the M3 of the SUV world & therefore should be driven accordingly. I love messing with Porsches, Corvettes & some of the heavy loud big pigs (aka Challengers) in the area. If you're not experiencing WOT when there's no one else around, why exactly are you sitting in a true M car to begin with... ? And yes, this beast can corner extremely well too. Mine isn't slammed as some people say. Just my .02 cents!!!

Definitely don't feed the trolls. When people enter a conversation the P car tirade is quickly distinguishes the mature adults from the semi sober ones. LMAO
