L/100km Question

Hey Everyone, I've got a 2010 E91 LCI N46 Engine, I've just gotten the Vehicle so I'm just wondering what the normal or average L/100kms is? Mines currently sitting around 13.6L/100km but that to me just seems a little to much? I've driving almost 2000kms city/highway but still hasn't changed? Any help would be appreciated this may be normal? I'm 100% not even sure.

Garage List
My N52 gets 10-11l/100 km in the city. So that's pretty high for a N46.

Did you check the tire pressures? A lot of variables can cause poor fuel economy.

Is that indicated on the dash or your own calculation?
That sounds high for 320i.

I would check the consumption with manual calculation after your next fill-up and see what you get.

Oh, and those engines are so much bigger, so that says somethings not right, I've put them all to the specified pressure on drivers door, Yeah that's from the dash itself, but I've reset the trip counter thing and it's almost identical to the estimated Kms, it also can reach a high of 14.3L/100km

You can try to check if your brakes are sticking, do you feel heat coming from the wheels after a drive?

Yeah it's been squeaking lately specifically at low speeds like between 10-20km/h its like a light squeak, but once moving quicker it goes away, anyone know the cause of that? Might be sticking break definitely is a load of brake dust? Possible could ve a cheap brake pad brand, my Nan owned it before me and it was hardly used and was mainly replaced with a cheap budged.

Also to add, acceleration isn't exactly the best! Was traveling about a week ago and it was a hilly terrain, car couldn't get above 80km/h, accelerator was full floored, there was just nothing! Today, I went out of a intersection was a bit of hesitation, couldn't accelerate much. I've done Air filter, spark plugs ( Bosch ), oil change, coolant change, within the past month, still no improvements for gas consumption, and power. ( Haven't cleaned the MAF, planning to though )

Are your tires OEM with reasonable tread left? Rolling diameter will have a big effect on the dash figure

Possible clogged cat.

After driving normally, feel your wheels, as a dragging brake caliper will cause heat.

You've only got 114 HP on a good day, so use your gears, otherwise, you're driving a turd.

Also, do a controlled 50 mile or so highway test at say 60 mph. Fill before, and fill after drive, manually calculate mpg and compare to computer.

Yes I was thinking that as a possibility after the oil change I recently did I got a good amount of smoke during stop/go's, for about a week, but has now stopped completely, just went for a drive into town, wheels/breaks don't seem to be giving off much heat, yes will do that asap.

Another thing to add, my Nan didn't use this vehicle as much, it was a back up really she owned it for about 5/6 Years, put less than 20,000kms on it overall, it just mainly sat, ( just incase this can cause problems )
