Yokohama S Drive

I have read the reviews and they sound pretty positive. Has anyone actually owned them, that could give a personal account?
Thanks.....

I have not had personal experience with this particular model, but my experience with Yokohama in general has been very positive. I am currently using the Advan Sport.

I spoke with a Yokohama rep last year at a large MINI gathering. I'm a fan of the ES 100's which the S Drives are replacing. He said the issues with noise has been addressed and traction has been increased yet still retains a good tread wear rating. I'll be going to S Drives on my MINI when the ES 100's wear out. I usually get about 20K miles out of them if I rotate.

There are better tires out there but these are a good bargain for those that want a combination of good dry and wet traction without having to replace tires frequently.

I've always liked PS2's. How do these compare?

Yeah, those ES100 squealed like a pig just by looking at them, kind like Ned Beatty in Deliverance. I'm skeptical over the higher than average wear rating for ultra-high performance tires on these S Drives, though the technology has steadily progressed.

I really think that the Falken Azenis RT215 <$100 tire of 5 years ago made the rest of the sporting tire world take some steps they hadn't planned on for a while...
