mirror folding code

Hi guys

I recently bought an F30 335i 2012, and I believe the mirrors motor has a problem where I can hear the sound of it but the mirrors never fold or open, so I was wondering how can i code the mirrors not to fold at all when I lock the car.
A step-by-step guide will be much appreciated, as I'm new to BMW and the whole coding thing.

I have Veepeak obd2 Bluetooth reader, and I use Bimmerlink & Bimmercode apps.

and finally, excuse my bad English as it's not my native language

Thanks in advance for your time & support!

Do the mirrors fold manually if you press the button on the driver’s door switch(see pic below)? In the US market, the mirrors don’t fold automatically when you lock them unless you code this feature yourself. If you don’t code them to fold/unfold when you lock/unlock…the default from the factory is…you have to fold them in manually using the button on the door switch. Then you can unfold them manually or thy will unfold automatically at a specific MPH when you drive off.

it's either automatically by default or the old owner have coded it i'm not sure but either way it's annoying and the best solution at this time is just to code it off

If you have the Bimmercode app…then just link up and deactivate mirror folding when locking the vehicle.

The supported coding for your model can be found on the https://bimmercode.app/cars/f30/ website. Just click on the topic MIRRORS to see what you can code/uncode plus see which module to look for to do the coding

Well…don’t know if you saw the post above…but if you did click the link and scrolled down to select MIRRORS…you can see the screenshots below that reveals the multiple coding capabilities in the BimmerCode app for folding/unfolding the mirrors with the convenient close/open feature or the AUTO fold/unfold when using the remote fob or Comfort Access feature…plus it reveals which module to open to find the coding parameters. The coding for this is on the EASY side…so you should be able to deactivate the folding mirrors in a few minutes.

Good luck.
