Hi folks -

Maybe you can help me out? For the most part, the new 24 X3 M40i is pretty much blacked out. Great ride! Love it! I want to complete the blacked-out theme, The one thing that isn't black already is the front grill. The middle of the grille is all black but the surround is chrome?

Yuck !!

So, where could I get a replacement shadowline grill? I want to stick to OEM but am open to solid choice members here are familiar with.

Any chance your build was with the Extended Shadow Line package? Just curious. I'm waiting for my 24 M40i and hope it comes with the all black trim.

The details on this ride don't even note a SL option but the entire car is black minus the surround on the grille. All bought new off the lot.

Mirrors
Window surrounds etc.

I think if you list SL anywhere on your cost sheet, you're gold. You'll not deal w/ what I'm dealing w/ on this grille.

make sure you order correct one.
with parking assist , the camera is attached to front grille.

Howdy folks

So I stopped by my local BMW Dealership yesterday and ordered the SL grille for the car. I did ask about the "extended SL pkg" which my ride didn't come with. If I had it then the chrome on the grille wouldn't be there and I could have saved myself 480$.

So if harryo2B, you're good. You're ride is the full SL package.

Is there a HOW-TO on replacing the grille that is easy to follow? I could have the dealership do it but it'll be a couple hundred backs.

If anyone knows of a video or walkthrough for replacing the grille, I'd love the assist.

This video should help.. Pretty quick process. I need to get a grill for my M40i and this vid helped when I was searching for a YT vid a couple of months ago.. Enjoy the new ride!

Aw man, just saw where you listed $480 for the grille. These guys list it for $265 (this one doesn’t have the camera spot).. I’ve learned that there are dealerships that seem to have great online community support..
