LSD + Final Drive
Here's some info on an LSD swap for those interested: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97729
You send them your pumpkin, or a core charge, and they send you the modified pumpkin with the Quaife LSD in it. I assume at this point, it would also be possible to throw in the auto-trans 3.48 final drive. I'm contemplating this, but I'm wondering if the ratios would be short enough that traction would be a problem in 1st and second. Here are the numbers: Here's the numbers with that setup 1st: 37@7k 2nd: 62@7k 3rd: 94@7k 4th: 125@7k 5th: 149@7k 6th: 171@7k 60mph in 6th: 2450 80mph in 6th: 3250 With stock 3.08 FD those numbers are 1st: 41 2nd: 70 3rd: 106 4th: 141 5th: 167 6th: 192 60 mph: 2200 80mph: 2900 Any opinions, or anyone who's tried it in Europe?

with a 3.48 you'd pull like a screaming banshee!!! But i think we need to see what size tire we can fit under the back first. As you said we may run out of traction, and thats the name of the game.
