CarPlay died
Have had the car 28 months. Wife and I both use it. Upon returning from a trip, CarPlay connects, but pressing it in the iDrive screen just makes a small noise. No CarPlay.
Deleted phone in iDrive and forgot car on phone. Re-paired. Same. Tried plugging in and doing everything- same. Turned off car, lock. Return. Repeat. Same. Took wife out for dinner and told her about it, she said she was using it (CarPlay) on Saturday and was fine, then stopped working at some point. Her phone does the same thing. My phone iOS 17.3.1 Her phone iOS 17.2.1 I’m out of ideas other than the head unit went poof.

I guess you tried already reset (press the volume control until the screen shuts down?).
Also - when you ask Siri using the long press on steering wheel does the Siri bubble come up on screen? |

Had this weird issue on G01 that carplay would appear for 1-2 sec then disappear. I had to reboot all my iphones (I have 3) - two of them have never been connected to G01 or to any carplay-enabled car to begin with. |

Thank you! I was close to removing the negative cable from the battery! Totally forgot about this! All better now!

I find that about every 30-60 days the phone won't connect to Carplay...if I reboot the infotainment system with the volume knob that immediately fixes it for ~another 30-60 days
