Is Premium Hifi worth it?

Ok, I've seen questions of wether equalizer and advanced bass are really worth it for $875. What do you think?

Go down to your local dealer and get into one of the 128i's they have on the lot with standard audio. Spend some time playing with the settings, and listening to a favorite cd. Then do the same in a 335i with Logic7. My e90 with logic7 sounds similar, and possibly not as good, as my e82 with premium hifi, so it would be a good comparison.

It's really the only way you'll find out if it's worth it for you.

I tried a CD in several 1ers today and the Logic7 is crisper, has more punch and just out right sounds better. I am getting the upgrade. (amp in trunk & metalized speakers?) I don't want the extra weight but , it really does sounds better...

So does it seams that most are in agreement that the hifi upgrade the way to go? Does anyone with the standard audio wish they would have ordered the hifi? I'm overseas, so I have to make the decision without the opportunity to listen for myself.

They sure don't market it well, but I got it and from what I have read am happy with the decision.

I am very happy with the Logic 7 system! Geez, what was the big secret with telling us the system is actually Logic 7? I have no regrets. I didn't have Bose in my A4 and I always said I'd get premium audio in my next car. Haven't heard the base system but I'm sure the premium is well worth its price.

i'm no audiophile, but for what its worth I think the standard BMW sound system is more than good enough for the price.

This thread alone made me get this option. I'm really glad I decided to sleep on order the car, rather than jumping on it. I think I would have REALLY regret not getting it lol

I haven't heard the upgrade in the 1, but the standar audio is unimpressive, much like the standard audio in my E46. I miss the HK audio in my old E36 M3, so if somebody says the 1er upgrade is better, I would definitely get it. When I do order, I will be getting it.

I got the standard system, and I wish I would have gotten premium. The standard stereo in my 95 buick sounds better than the standard stereo in my BMW. I will have to go aftermarket with something like bavarian sound works that looks original but sounds better.

How many speakers is in your 135i ? Lets at least put that rumor to rest.

Secondly, can you check to see if the AMP on the standard system is in the trunk?

We need to compile some basic info. I do not care about Logic7, But I will put $1.5k into the basic audio system for fidelity.
