Dinan is looking for a hacker to hack BMW
I was looking at craigslist.org, and found that Dinan is looking for people to hack BMW's software

hell, we at E90post should hire our own hacker, all Dinan is doing is hire someone else to do the job, THEN charge few arms and legs for it, I say let's cut the middleman and hire the hacker ourselves haha

This also means that we have to wait longer for Dinan to come up with new performance products for E90.

There was a recent article in Roundel about the Active Autowerk guys in Miami and it mentioned the time it takes to back engineer the software for them when BMW comes out with a new "release". Ever since that article I've been hoping the folks like Steve Dinan and Active figure this stuff out fast for the E92!

well it takes the hacker to crack the map and identify what each block does and then the DINAN guys would then go in and do the "tuning" (tweak the values). It's pretty interesting when it was explained to me how they do it for the Audi's. The computer guy has no clue what the blocks mean his job is just to crack the map.
