What could this sound be????

The car was totally off. I was looking under the hood and heard a sound like a pump turning on every few seconds. Any ideas? Oil cooler? Water coolant? Coolant to turbos?

Your car is asking for a day off is all.

When you say "pumping". You mean a pump of some sort is running for the sound of a pump?

The water pump is electric and can run after the car is turned off. See the N54 sticky at the top of this forum for more details.

Very true. I need to get used to doing a cool down drive on the way home after a little flogging. Im used to the turbo timers of days of yore when I would just walk away from the car and forget it.
