MIAMI - April 13 Memorial drive and BBQ

As most of you recall, it has been 2 years since our fellow BMW owner and loved friend Fred B passed away in a crash on I195. Back in 2006, Mike (M320psi) organized a memorial drive in Fred's memory, which had a huge turnout.

This year Fred's brother Alex would like to extend an invitation to the entire BMW community to participate in a drive and meet he is organizing in Fred's memory. The event will start with a meet & greet at Mt Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, followed by a drive with a stop at the memorial marker on I195, and will end with a BBQ on the beach in Key Biscayne. Alex will take care of most of the products, but if you feel like it, please feel free to bring food/drinks.


Date: Sunday April 13th

Meeting place: 9:30-10:15 AM at Mt Sinai Medical Center parking lot, 4300 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33140
We will stay there for about 45 min to take some pictures and wait for the stragglers. Getting to the parking area at Mt Sinai may be a little tricky. When you pull in the main entrance just keep going straight in towards the bay and you will see us.

Memorial Drive: 10:15-11:00 AM - I195 West to I95 S to Key Biscayne with a stop at the memorial marker on I195

BBQ at Key Biscayne: 11:00ish until whenever. We will take I95 to Rickenbacker causeway, go through toll, go over the big bridge and make a right at the first entrance after the bridge.

Hopefully everyone who knew Fred will be able to come out, and those who didn't - let's make it a fun meet and keep Fred's memory alive. If you are running late feel free to meet us at the memorial marker off of I195 west bound. It is literally a minute away from Mt Sinai - or you can meet us at the Key Biscayne location. So no excuses!

there was a delay with my ship... so there telling me now 1st to 2nd week of April. I really hope i get it before the meet. Either way ill be there even if its in my E46.

LOL!! picked it up today!! I feel like a little kid, im just way too pumped!! yah im going to the meet for sure. Im gona give andy a call we so we can all roll over to the meet on sunday...

Same here i gots those KW's on order. went ahead and got stupid and ordered the V2. maybe ill never use them, just the thought of tuning it down to a stiffer ride than my m3 and back to buttery smooth got me excited... anyhow see you at the meet!
