After you remove the shift knob and boot, if you invert the boot, there is a small plastic ring that connect the shift boot to the shift knob. The shift knob has 3 tabs that go through the boot and lock into the ring. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to remove the ring and the shift knob is separated from the boot.

I ship internationally with USPS Global Express Mail.

I may buy them anyways, not right away but may match my aluminum trim. You plan to stick around?

The Performance shift knob is different. It is like the regular BMW Shift knobs, no tabs on the bottom. If using the OEM Boot (with knob separated) you would need to use a zip tie to snug the neck up to the shift lever. The bottom of the shift knob would then come down to the top of the shift boot.
