UUC clutch stop?

Anyone tried a clutch stop yet? I know that some have had issues with the cars not starting on various E46's. I know that it was my favorite $20 mod on my E36. I'm not even sure one will fit on the 1er. Any thoughts or experiences? I've searched and searched and can't find anything on it.

don't think you will be able to install one unless you disable the "feature" that makes you press the clutch pedal before you can start the car. Starting in 1997, the E36 had the push-to-start clutch and the clutch-stop would make it so the car would not start.

But some clever people figured out what wires needed to be modified to disable that on the E36. Not sure if that has been determined how to do that on the 1-series yet.

I have a clutch stop on my M3. I set it to to engage the clutch when I just lift off the stop. Makes for very fast shifts when I run it. However, I don't see the 135i needing one. The clutch engages much further out on the clutch pedal travel. You'd have to have a very long-large clutch stop to make it work. Besides, the clutch on the 135i if MUCH better than the M3. The M3 had a very hard pedal to push which the 135i does not.

My M3 is a '98 and the clutch stop works great on it. I'm crossing my fingers ont he 135i. If I don't like it, I will try to find a way to make one work.
