Finally did it - 135i on order

I don't know if I should love you guys or hate you guys.

I was 100% set on getting the 128i convertible, but endless threads of the mighty 135i swayed me and I called my girlfriend and asked her to go place an order for me (she works at Mitsubishi, so she's got a few friends working in a local BMW dealership :biggrin (128i order canceled, i didn't get a good deal on it anyways since I sought out to try myself without relying on girlfriend, regret it dearly) I actually have *not* seen or driven the 128i or 135i's, but I did spend many hours test driving the 328i and 335i's so I have a decent feel for the cars I would hope. The SG + coral looked absolutely stunning on the 335i, should be equally impressive on the 135 (I hope at least)

135i Cabriolet
Sparkling Graphite
Coral Red
Moonlight top
Glacier Aluminum trim
Premium package
Sport package
Sound package
Auto Transmission
Comfort Access
PDC

with (freebies)
Rubber mats including trunk(and original carpet ones as well)
Aluminum Pedals (so my feet stay cool when cruising top down - if I ever try it bare feet)

I wanted the wind blocker and splash guards thrown in but the splash guards can't be installed in the 135i with sport apparantly, and then couldn't get the wind blocker thrown in for free. But they gave me a trunk kit (LED triangle, luggage holder? of some sorts) and $1200 off MSRP

I opted not to get the navi and power seats seeing as it's just me driving it, and I have a portable navi already for the rare times I need directions.

Total comes to just under 60k including PDI/Freight/Admin

going to call them in a few days to get production #!!

Welcome aboard.
My office is in Burnaby so that means there will be at least two SGM 135 Cabrios cruising around.
I have driven the 335 and 135 and you will not be disappointed.
What's the deal with the windblocker? I thought they would be included with the car. Do you know what the msrp is on them?

they aren't included apparantly, and no I didn't ask msrp since I didn't want to worry about them now, i figured it would be cheaper to get from an online shop down in the states (yea go CAD > USD) and have it shipped up. You don't happen to be along kingsway are you? I see a S2000 there all the time.

Thanks for the info on the blocker.
I'm rarely up on Kingsway except when I'm at the RBC at Willingdon.
When is expected delivery on your car? BJ?

windblocker retails for $750 here, they offered it for $450 but I kindly declined, if I need one i'll get it online

BMW store downtown actually, even though I live 5 minutes away from brian jessel. Better price, can't complain.

Looks like end of may or early june delivery, still awaiting production number, i don't expect to have it for a few more days.

Kiety, congrats. I just placed an order yesterday as well. I've been told early June. $1200 off is pretty damn good.

There was a free road hazard for the wheels and tires if you attending the 1 event this past weekend. Maybe you can finagel that.

Thanks!

I'm quite content with the 1200 off MSRP, but yes I did try to get that as well, but as I couldn't make the event I didn't get the road hazard gift. It looks like it is BMW sponsored so they won't/can't give it up for free. What did the gift look like anyways? was it a card or voucher of some sorts? or do they just mention it?

I am trying to get a set of winter tires for cheap though, the sales manager will get back to me on that when he has my production #.

Kiety, it was a card signed by a BMW representative. It had a choice of BMW driver training, a bike rack (which doesn't go with a vert) and the road hazard. Jessel wanted $900 for it so that's a good deal.

I'm trying to get a deal on the wind deflector.

Will do. Just so you know, my expectations are quite low on what type of deal I'll get.

Well, got my production number today. They were able to amend an existing April production order to my specs and it should be here early June.

Too bad you can't track it like you can in the US.

Not yet, sorry. I wasn't going to push him for a bit since I won't be getting it for another 7 weeks or so. I'll fire him an email off in a day or so and let you know.

Wind Deflector = $750. I'm looking online to see what's cheaper.

maybe we can get a group buy together for vancouverites, save a lot of shipping and handling. (but lets not worry about that until our cars arrive)

Kiety, I'm up for that as well. But, you're right, we are a bit premature. I think Bringinthewolf is the first to get his vert. I also want to drive it for awhile with the top down to see how much wind turbulence you get in the driver's seat.
