GIAC VF Engineering

Anyone see this on VF Engineering website.

They are currently working on N54 Stage 1, 2, and 3 upgrades.

And they include GIAC software.

Link (click on "turbo upgrades" tab, then click the grayed out 335i upgrade "more" tab:

They'd be the first to do a Turbo exchange.

Odd that they would change engine internals before even mentioning FMIC or oil cooler.

I read a thread on e90post recently, where the two turbos were swapped with one large one, and they got it running and put back together. That kind of seemed like a ham-fisted approach to tuning a N54 though.

ultimately, for it's simplicity and power-making abilities a single turbo is usually the best way to go for a factory TT car.

as for the staged upgrades listed here, yeh it definitely differs from the usual mods you seen done to turbo cars. my list would be:

stage 1: intake, exhaust, flash
stage 2: fmic, turbo/manifold, fuel
stage 3: rebuilt motor/head

yup.. that was VIP tuning, based out of FL. They are an absolute joke, and I HIGHLY recommend that you guys stay far, far away from them. Active Autowerke has publicly shared the same sentiment...

This giac/VF kit sounds amazing!!!
