tuning question

this is a question for the ones who are tuned. regardless of what brand, dinan, vishnu or whatever. Was it a huge difference of power and tq that you could feel over the stock setup?

thanks

Huge???? The difference cannot be put into words. Ask some of our fellow members who have been in my car. You don't have to take it from me. Bear in mind I can only speak for the AA Processor and possibly Procede v3 soon bwahahaha hint hint.

Any chip tune that raises boost on a turbo car will result in extremely noticable seat of the pants gains. No traction at all in first would be the first clue!

With one of the higher power tunes, it'd be like the difference between a 135i and a 128i, in terms of feeling.

You know you're stock when you go WOT and your head just stays put. You know you're not stock when you go WOT and your head slams into the headrest.

You know you are not stock when traction control goes off in first, second and third gear when you mash the gas.

I've driven it, the torque makes it into a monster.

The monster torque is very impressive though!

We fitted SSTT and K&N drop-in to my friends 135i. There was an immediate difference. The car becomes a monster. Still very drivable and incredibly smooth, but the extra power and torque can certainly be felt in every gear and at any speed (even ~100 mph in 6th!). The car is just so much quicker than my stock 135i.

Mad Chemist.
