HRE wheels
Has any one hear Of HRE?? I found these online I'm not sure how much they cost but I did request a quote form wheels boutique. We'll See how much they cost I though I would keep the stock size.
So would I be asking for 18x8 & 18x9 for stock with sports pkg? any feed back would be great!

if money were no object I would go straight to HRE...hands down always been my favorite wheel company. Also 18x8 and 18x9 would be great. Good luck! you may get a little sticker shock when you get the price quote!

Nice looking wheels, however, HRE is one of the most overrated wheel on the market. I would shy away from them for more then price. They have issues with QC.
They have in fact been banned by Porsche Club of America because of this, just so you know.

The Porsche & Viper clubs have banned them from all track events. Fikse manufactures an amazing wheel, IMO. They would probably be a little cheaper as well, and their headquarters is right up your way. They have quite the track record in motorsport applications. http://www.fikse.com/ I will be ordering the profil10 within the next week or so. 18x8, 18x9

that's exactly what I'm thinking..a nice 19x8 front, 19x9 rear, with 225's up front and 255's in the rear:thumbup:

HRE is one of the top wheels you can get. They are an excellent quality forged wheel that offers exceptional weight and strength. They are on the pricier end but given the level of quality and work put into these wheels, it's well worth it.

^^^ That picture is what reminded me of the Work T1S Varianza. I had a set on order @ Ravspec in NY until I found out the 19x8" weighed 27-28# I ended up buying Volk RE 30's which weighed 17.5#. I sold them shortly after getting them because they didn't look that great on my 07 TL-S.

If you want really quality go with BBS, Work, Volk/ Rays, Neez, OZ, or Fiske. Kenisis used to be really good, but are now owned by Asanti, and the newer wheels lack the older ones quality. Many of these wheels are used on stock cars, by ver reputable car companies like Toyota, Mercedes, VW, Audi, BMW, Infiniti, and many more.
Wheels such as HRE, DPE, I forged, 360 forged, Enkruez, and all of the other who look the same, are lower quality, are not race proven. Most are built in the same place. They are very soft, and very heavy. They are okay if you live in an area with nice roads, and they are your DD.

wow It seems ppl either love them or hate them!!! I found this on the Hre Web site. "HRE Performance Wheels Launches Wheel Series Exclusively for Select Porsche Vehicles August 14, 2007 One-piece forged aluminum wheels offered at fine automotive retailers across the country HRE Performance Wheels, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality forged custom alloy wheels, today... The wheel series is available to fit Porsche 911 Turbo, 911 Carrera 4, 911 Carrera 4S, 911 GT3 RS, 911 Targa 4, 911 Targa 4S, 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet. "The look and feel of these wheels was created to complement the distinct style of Porsche," said Evan Kinsella, president of HRE Performance Wheels. "This new series, along with our other lines, provides Porsche owners with one of the highest-quality selections of forged custom alloy wheels available." It looks like they still cater to these guys even though they've been banned!! WoW! I guess I wasn't too sure about cost!! I'm still waiting for the quote... But if they are 4k and up:eyebulge: I will most deff be waiting on these wheels!!

In fact, I don't know much technically about why they were banned. IMO, when spending that kind of $$ on a set of wheels, I want something that is proven, and being banned from Porsche driving events does not sit well with me.
