Zaino

Hi Guys,

My 1er is about 8 weeks from its new home and I managed to get someone to courier some of the zaino product to South Africa.

I'm just not sure what products to get. So many to choose from.

Is there a kit that has most important things in it or is it better to buy seperately?

Thanks

Get Z7, Z2, Z5, Z6, Z8, and ZCS

Maybe a ZPC for the future so you dont have to buy one bottle and ship it all the way to SA when you need it.

+1. I'd add ZFX to speed up your waiting time between coats, perhaps an extra bottle of Z7 and Z8 (or Z6) for the weekly washes.

I use Zaino on my MINI Cooper S now and will be using it on my 1er once it comes in. The posts above are spot on. If you wish, add in the Z-18 Clay Bar. All of these components are in the 'Zaino Total Protection Show Car Kit' option from the Zaino Store.

Enjoy,
ST

Thanks for the replies.

This would be the first time I get into the detailing of my car.

Cannot wait

Me again.

What would I need to apply the products best? A machine for the wax or do you apply it by hand? A chamois for washing or a sponge rather?

By hand and I use microfiber towels and microfiber wash mitten. Microfiber is great. The best thing I use is a microfiber waffle towel.

If you are going for the best way to apply go for the machine polish! I just go for the hand polish (scared to do any damage with a polisher!) and I find I get really good results. Make sure you spend some money on some good microfibre cloths!!!

Don't use a sponge or chamois, they trap the grit as you are washing/drying your car. As mentioned above, some sort of lambs wool mitt and a micro fibre drying towl are a must if you want that paint staying swirl free.
