talk about proper way to apply touch up paint

What is the best way to apply touch up paint? I'm going to get some this week as a truck spit a few rocks into my car (from the next lane) and I got a few chips on the front side 1/4 panel by the headlight ..

I'm anal about my cars so this is killing me

Make sure it is original BMW code touch up paint. Dont use anything with a spray nozzle. Depending on the size of the chip - just use the little bottles with a small brush, or use a drop on the end of a toothpick. Use very little. build it up with a few thin coats. Then you might need to use a little 4000 (very very fine) sandpaper (wet), some rubbing compund then buff it with wax.

If the damaged area is too large for this, then get it professionally done.

Part Number Description Price Qty. 51 91 0 415 658 Touch Up Paint - Montego Blue - Color Code A51
$19.95

Another optiion is to try this-
http://www.autogeek.net/langka-paint...epair-kit.html

You'll use your BMW touch up paint and let it set for a couple days, then reduce the blob with the langka.
