Removal of visor seat belt warnings

What the best non-messy way of removing the seat-belt warning stickers from the sun visors?

I thought it was blowdryer and some sort of peeling?

I've always had good luck with Goof-Off.

First take a clean terry towel and put some Goof-Off on it.. not a lot, then dab it onto the corner of the sticker. If you soak the visor, it's going to stink up your car for a while. Once you dab it on, use a clean fingernail to pull up a corner, and peel it back.

The sticker will probably rip a few times, but dab it again, fingernail again, and remove the remaining pieces.

The key is to keep everything clean, and do not saturate the visor, and you'll have a nice clean and unstinky visor.

Thx. I've used the hair dryer method for all kinds of decals in the past, but these stickers look like they're kind of impregnanted into the surface of the visor. Maybe I'll try hair dryer first and then Goof-off if that doesn't work.

Let us know how the hairdryer works. Maybe something is new on the 1er visor, but they look like the same type of decals in the past BMWs I've owned, and it's been general consensus that solvent based removers are the only thing that seems to take the stubborn things off.

So, if that hairdryer works, it would nice to not have to use that stinky Goof-off.

I also used Goof Off and it worked out great. You do not use a lot and be careful. It is powerful stuff and will remove anything it comes in contact with. That includes paint so if you have Goof Off on your hands you need avoid touching...well pretty much anything. Wipe the visor down after with water and wash your hands.

Well worth the effort IMO. I hate those stickers.

Just a heads up, but I think in Canada, in order to pass safety if you sell your car, you have to have the warning labels in place. Not sure if that applies in the US.

I guess you can buy an aftermarket sticker when it comes time to sell the car?!?

In the end I used nail polish remover, worked great, but does leave the sheen in its place. Has anyone managed to get it to look like it was never there?
