Hey tommy,

The answer is simple, the main demographic of BMW owners "don't pay a premium" for cloth interior.
Us enthusiasts represent a small percentage of both the target buyer for a 1er and demographic of owner, in the eyes of the BMW bean counters.

I guess the way things are going with the sport/lux marques that we should just be happy that BMW is still offering manual transmissions.
The euro cloth looks so damn good on the 1, too.

I cannot make it today, replacing my clutch slave cylinder and bleeding clutch/brakes right after work today.
