Cochituate Park Meet (Natick, MA) - Saturday June 28th!
All right, We've got to have a meet. I think this would be a nice place as it is right off the Mass Pike, exit 13 towards rt. 30 in Natick. Go straight through the set of lights, and A big white sign says "Cochituate State Park" then I think it's $5 to get in, and if you go the right upon entering there are picnic tables and grill like things. We can have a little picnic.
JUNE 28, 12noon- whenever 1. Rachel -Cookies and Brownies, propane grill 2. BMW135iCA (only after 5) 3. larryn - Soda/Drinks 4. Bdh821 - rolls and Charcoal (thanks!) 5. gio - himself, and whatever he decides. 6. tiintegra - burgers 7. roldan - condiments, propane grill 8. TMS1series - (You can bring chips) 9. ML - is a maybe

I'm not gonna have my 1er until mid October (ED in mid September) but I wouldn't mind meeting up, if you guys can stand a VW showing up ;-)

All right. We'll make it the 28th. Can I have a Mod put June 28th in the title for me, please? I'm gonna sign people up, and hopefully you guys will volunteer to bring a snack to share :w00t:
I'll edit the first post, with everyone you has said yes.

Good idea, but I doubt we'll be able to bring a grill in out cars that would be able to produce enough food for a dozen people. John Harvard Brewhouse sounds like a very decent alternative, and if it's not so nice out, we have a very closeby place to meet. Maybe some snacks/hors d'oevres and a few coolers with various drinks, frisbees, a couple nerf footballs.... then head over for a bite and a beer/soda at the brewhouse? I can bring a cooler with a case of mixed sodas/water. |

Hey, I think I could probably make the 28th also.. my 1er should be arriving the Saturday before.
John Harvards sounds good, as does grilling out there.. maybe if we brought a couple of those smaller propane grills? I used to have one, but I have no idea where it is now. |

Sounds good. I'm sure no one wants to put a grill in their 1er lol.... But if someone does i will bring burgers otherwise ill bring some soda and cookies/chips. John Harvards is always a good time and the burgers are terrific!

All right, I stopped in. They actually have what I believe to be grills... they are boxes with one side missing and a grill like top. I imagine you just put charcoal in them?? So if people would like to volunteer there are still some items up for grabs..
Charcoal and matches, Chips, hamburger rolls, condiments.... napkins and plates?

Sounds like you found some hibachis on a post!
Those go VERY quickly on weekends, and we should not plan on them being available, IMO. Anybody have portable ones? |

LOL, since this thread came up, I finally found an apartment (just moved back from Denver) and arranged to move in exactly when this is going down.
Oh well, I'll show up next time, hopefully you can all put up with my VW. ;-) Grr, 95 days to ED. The wait is excruciating!

I'll bring the propane grill just in case, that's all I have... I'll see if I can find someone with one of those "hibachis"
