K-1 (kart) Speed Event in SoCal

Any of you SoCal speed junkies should check out this karting event sponsored by Riss Racing. It's in Irvine on June 21st at 1:00pm. For more info check this link. Sounds like a lot fun.

K1 Speed is a good karting place. We have gone there a lot for the weekday lunch specials.

After watching the video, I am seriously interested in doing this. How far of a drive is it from San Jose to Irvine? And would it be ok to race if I am only 17?
(Yes I have a valid drivers license!)

You probably don't want to drive to LA for this. Irvine is 45 miles south of LA.

Ahh well if I have at least a week of time before another one of these events. I would love to go. I can go and test the new Valentine 1 I am getting!
