XM 23" alloys coating coming off causing air pressure leakage
Hey Guys,
I’m new to this application/ forum but there is a concern which I would like share with everyone and it would be great to have your feed back. It’s regarding my XM which is under 1500 miles:- 1. The rear right side of 23” inch rim inner coating came off without any physical contact with other object. 2. In the first picture you can see the Bubbles being formed between the lining of tyre and rim. ( no physical damage ) 3. In the second picture after they took off the tyre and you can see the red marking directing towards where the coating came from the inner side of the rim therefore leading to leakage. 4. This issue came after I took a left turn at 130/km maybe putting pressure on the rear right alloy/tyre ? 5. My point is that is it normal for such expensive rims to give off their coatings? -Is something wrong with structural integrity of the allows? - Is it not dangerous for the driver to drive this car at high speed when the weight of the car is clearly putting structural pressure on the alloys ? |

I went with the 22 inch rims on my 2025 because I bend the 23 inch thrice on the other one.
