Third X7 - advice required
Hi all,
Just sold my LCI X7 40i, which was really well specced— Tech Plus, Comfort Plus, 6 seats, M Sport Pro Pack, Off-Road Pack, xDrive Pack and Bowers & Wilkins. Prior to that, I had a pre-LCI X7 40d with the 6-seat layout. Now back on the market for another used LCI 40d with 6 seats, but I wanted to get some advice. • Executive Drive Pro: I’ve never driven a car with it—how much of a difference does it actually make? Isit worth the extra as I found the standard set up very comfortable! • Crystal Headlights: Are they a game changer compared to the standard ones? • Ultimate Pack: does this include Executive Drive Pro and Crystal Headlights? I’ve always had the 22” alloys, but I really like the look of the 23s. Has anyone driven both? Would love to hear some real-world feedback on ride quality and handling differences between the two sizes. Lastly if anyone is selling one here in the UK with the above spec please let me know! Thanks in advance! |

Had Executive Drive Pro on pre and now LCI X7 but never driven one without it. Pretty sure Active steering is what you want on roads and places like UK or Latvia where i live. With it X7 turns like much smaller car. Probably also cornering is better with active levelling but i haven't had chance to compare with car which do not have it. I have crystal light on LCI X7 and they definitely make car stand out especially when approaching or leaving car when they "sparkle" to ones with simple daytime running lights. Never regretted that selected this option! 22" on both of them since 23" is too much for our rough roads. |

I wanted an Ultimate pack LCI 40d for Executive Drive / IAS / Rear wheel steer (which I have on an iX and it's brilliant) and also the smaller alloys, it was too much hard work trying to find the perfect spec car as nearly all of the Ultimate spec cars have the 23's, so I factory ordered and should have it soon.
I have since driven a car on 23's and didn't think it rode too badly at all, so ride quality isn't such an issue, but I think susceptibility to rim and tyre damage is still going to be much greater and I also consider the fact that I will take my car to countries where replacement larger tyres are likely to be hard to source. |

Thanks for the advice guys!
I’ve got a budget of upto £75K so I think a 2023 model with the Ultimate Pack is achievable. However, I’ve noticed that a lot of the Ultimate Pack cars don’t come with Executive Drive and four-wheel steering which is a shame. The 2024 models with the Ultimate Pack seem to have everything including crystal headlights, but they’re still sitting in the early £80Ks, so a bit out of reach for now. I do think the 23" look awesome however it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. The hunt starts! |

I came across this one with a high spec however you are looking £80k+ with the ultimate pack.

I came from an Audi RS Q8 with 23" wheels and I'll never go back to 23" if I can help it, they're just too harsh to live with for a daily. I purposely ordered the 22's with mine and could not be happier with the combo of comfort and looks.

I came across this one with a high spec however you are looking £80k+ with the ultimate pack.[/ The car in the link is actually my wife’s car, which I’ve just sold. The only reason we let it go was that the mileage was starting to creep up. It was a fantastic super smooth and even the economy was great! managed Huddersfield to Paris on just three quarters of a tank, which was really impressive. For the replacement I think we prefer the grunt and torque of the diesel engines, which is why we’re now opting for the 40d. It’s proving to be a task finding one though! |

This seems pretty much identical to the one I sold and seems decent value. Would have preferred an ultimate pack with executive drive I guess it's a waiting game for the right car to come up. |

I managed to secure an X7 yesterday, Dravit Grey 40d with the 6 Seat configuration, tech plus, comfort plus, m sport pro pack, bowers and Wilkins, black Merino extended leather and off-road package. Identical to my previous vehicle bar the exception of a towbar which I won’t have any use for.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your input! |
