I think I have found the perfect adjustments for the B&W system in the image attached if you like bass combined with 3D treble and mid, in other words making it as immersive as possible. I used the other tuning suggestions on bimmerpost for a couple of years until I sat in the backseat and realized that there was no thump from the bass. This combo creates some bass in the backseat. Set sound profile to On Stage 3D, 2/3 of the way up on the slider. Let me know what you think, I’m not a sound expert and it’s all about compromise due to the system not having a dedicated woofer.

The smiley face : ) ….Forum colleague MystroX5 has posted all about it long time ago already.
But, I disagree about the “on stage” sound though.
Anyway glad you find the perfect balance for your music : ) … .B&W is AWESOME and the only way to go. I wouldn’t buy a BMW without B&W.

This is not exactly a smiley face, more of a V shape. I’d smoothen the edges a bit and turn the 3d nonsense off, for the most natural sound. But thats just my personal taste.

The B&W in the X7 is one of the best. Combination of a perfect box shape on wheels and this excellently tuned system. Savagegeese tested only the iX B&W system slightly better than the X7 in all their reviews.

I spent quite a bit of time fine tuning it ... my settings are:

From left to right:

Bass +8 or +9, 100 Hz, 200 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 5 kHz, 10 kHz, Treble +9

And then, I have it on the highest 3D intensity.

I also mostly listen on On-Stage 3D, but occasionally put it on Concert 3D for certain songs. I will say that the B&W audio on our iX is a good bit better. I never thought I'd say that since the X7's was and still is THAT good. But, I'd say the iX's is more than just a half-step better than the X7's. It's the absolute best for the time being.
