Track Event Prep Question?
Running my first Track Event up at Mid-Ohio next weekend and was told I need to have my car inspected locally first. I called my dealer and they said it would take an hour and cost me about $100. Considering I am already paying more than enough for the track event, I hate to have to cough up more dough. Any other recommendations from you guys who have already tracked your ONE. Thanks.
Oh - anything I need to do to prep my car for the event (e.g. change brake fluid before or after)?

^^ what Whiteout said. A lot of clubs allow you to tech the car yourself.
I certainly wouldn't take it to your dealer. Tracking the car -- as in HPDE -- shouldn't affect the warranty but it raises a red flag to the dealer. Best to fly below the radar on that as far as the dealer is concerned. Also, if it's your very first track event, you shouldn't worry about changing the brake fluid as you probably won't be running hard enough to exceed the limits of the OEM fluid.

Torque your lugs. Check your tire pressures, and set to mid-30's. Might want to paint up your headlights/grill/lower bumper with painter's tape.
